Thanksgiving Bark - Snickers Meets Pecan Pie

If you are looking for the perfect, but healthier holiday treat to bring to your next party - look no further! Think… this meet snickers meets pecan pie. 🥧 It is going to be a crowd favorite, and can easily made DF and is already PNF and GF! Pro-tip: I personally cut the bark into bite-sized squares for a decadent after-dinner dessert!

INGREDIENTS:

•1c pitted, medjooled dates

•1/4c walnuts, toasted

•1/4c pecans, toasted

•1/2 dark chocolate

•1 tsp coconut oil

•salt to taste




DIRECTIONS:

  1. Toast walnuts & pecans at 400F for ~8 minutes, until fragrant and golden.

  2. On a parchment lined sheet pan, half the dates and press together, making the bottom layer of the bark.

  3. Pour nuts over the dates. Melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil together, then also pour and smooth out melted chocolate over nuts and dates.

  4. Sprinkle with salt and place in freezer to harden (30+ minutes).

  5. Remove from freezer and cut into bite-sized bark squares. Store in freezer and enjoy!
